please help me learn nepali, will teach english in exchange - i am a american and i want to learn nepali because my girl friend is nepali and i want to surprise her

I moved your thread to the Nepali forum where it will be seen by more people that can help or would also like to learn. I think it is great that you are learning to surprise your girlfriend! I recommend going through this forum and there are plenty of phrases you can pick up and learn. After you surprise her though, I think she will be the best person to practice and learn with!!! It is much easier to learn if you have a native speaker and must communicate in any way possible! You can make it an immersion game where you have to figure out what she is sayinig and answer back.

I am learning in this same way. I live and work with many people who do not speak English, Russian on Spanish, so I communicate with them in Nepali only. It is a great experience and I really hope your girlfriend will share her beautiful language with you!
