| - what's the difference between Necessitar and Precisar ? | |

| - This difference might belong to a lesson called "Very advanced topics on Portuguese" :-) They mean basically the same but "precisar" is more colloquial and more common. (There´s yet another verb with the same meaning, "carecer".) So you may use "precisar" and forget the others for a while. | |

| Question - Are there any shorter/abbreviated forms of 'obrigado'? Like in English we say 'Thanks' rather than 'Thankyou'. | |

| Re: Are there any shorter/abbreviated forms of 'obrigado'? - Well, 'obrigado' is very common. But you can use 'valeu' too. It's a slang word, a very colloquial form of obrigado. And I think it's a little weaker too. | |
