um jogo - Eu gostaria que você jogasse o jogo! Datilografarei aqui uma palavra, e você tem de encontrar uma nova palavra que começa com a carta última da minha palavra. E o mesmo, okey? :)

a palavra: um beijo (a primeira palavra eu sabia no português! ;) )

(I'd like you to play the game! I'll type here a word, and you have to find a new word which starts with the last letter of my word. And do the same, ok?)

Espero que o meu português não seja tão mau! ;) :)

Como foi o seu fim-de-semana, Ana?
gzimizeTuesday 15th of November 2005 03:19:59 AM
- well, ana, your portuguese isn't too bad. i'll correct your mistakes:
eu gostaria que vocês jogassem o meu jogo (the pronoun you used is wrong. you must use vocês because it's plural. you'd like that everyone play the game so, there are more than one person and this indicates plural.)

datilografei is a word that almost no one uses it. datilografar (infinitive) is used when you have to write a text in that old typewriter. to computer we use the verbs digitar or bater (bater can mean to strike, to knock, to hit)

que comece com a letra (the word carta and the word letra is the same thing in english, letter. the difference is that letra is from the alphabet and carta is a letter that you write for a friend. e.g.: o alfabeto português tem 23 letras (the portuguese alphabet has 23 letters). escrevi uma carta para o meu pai (i've written a letter to my father)
the rest is ok! congratulations!

the word:

oi! - hi!
