| The best way to learn Romanian? - As I already said in other threads, I would like to learn Romanian but I have no knowledge of it at all, except what I learned here and a few expressions I know. I started to study several threads (including the First Lesson thread). I have also bookmarked several sites that I found while browsing this forum, and they have been helpful. I created this thread because maybe it would be helpful to know for others too who are starting like me, what is the "best" way to learn Romanian. Of course there's many ways to learn a language, depending on basically each individual, but maybe there's a certain path or guidelines we should stick to? I have found out I have a little advantage because French is my native language, and there are several similarities. For now I started to learn the numbers, days, months, the verbs to be and to have, and few other expressions and words. Of course vocabulary and grammar are both very important, but any advice is welcome and hopefully what I was trying to say makes sense. :D Mersi anticipat! | |

| - I found the best approach to learning a language is you have to be really into it. You should pace yourself, even if you think you're a fast learner! Study the vocabulary, phrases, and grammar of the language hard. Memorize them well, and practice speaking them. Start from the bottom, the basics, and make sure you got each lesson, word, etc all down before you move on so you don't get confused on certain other advanced aspects of the language. I hope I helped :) | |

| - Sorry I didn\'t know where to post this. I\'m back. Oh my god it\'s been ages since I came here. A lot of personal stuff has been happening these past few months and I didn\'t have time to work on my Romanian lessons (plus I talk in English with my fiancée who\'s Romanian but I still want to know her language). :( I decided to find a place here where I could get Romanian lessons with an actual teacher but the Romanian institute in my town doesn\'t provide anything like this. :( So I\'m gonna buy a French/ Romanian dictionary (I\'m originally French), and try the best I can do on my own. I\'m gonna have to learn again what I learned a few months ago (even though I remember a few things and I know mainly love stuff lol). I will be a lot more serious about my lessons and I\'ll come here everyday, I\'ll probably have a lot of questions again! ;) I want my fiancée to be proud of me, and I\'d like to have basic communication skills. :) Multumesc to everyone in advance and mersi for reading this! Back to my lessons! ;) | |
