Grammar help: Hello,

I'm learning spanish and today we stumbled upon the construct "I am the one who ... the most." For example:
"I am the one who has the most patience"
The teacher would translate this as "Yo soy lo que mas patientia tengo"
However, if spanish followed the grammar of every other language I know, it would have been "Yo soy lo que mas patientia tiene".
In conclusion, could you please tell me which of these forms is the correct one:
-"Yo soy lo que mas patientia tengo"
-"Yo soy lo que mas patientia tiene"

Thank you

"Soy el que más paciencia tiene."

If it is a girl saying it, it'd be "la" instead of "el".
