Songs to represent Spain in the Phrasebase Song Contest!:
* Songs are chosen by Phrasebase members (who have more than 50 posts) in their language forums. After getting everybody's songs, there can be a mini-poll to choose the song which will represent the country in their language or country forums.

I have two songs, you can add 3 more to represent Spain in the Phrasebase Song Contest.

http://www.phrasebase.com/discuss/read.php?TID=19354

FIRST SPANISH SONG -> Mambo by Helena Paparizou

SECOND SPANISH SONG -> Bombón by Merche

Vote for one: MAMBO OR BOMBÓN?
Add your songs too. We must have 5 songs, and after that we have to make a poll for choose the song.

Más que la de Bloody Mary sí, creo yo. Por cierto, no pongamos más y dejemos que otros pongan. :)

Well, Mambo is a song by a Greek singer, with the lyrics in Spanish and as far as the title is concerned, it talks about a cuban dance.
It is not very Spanish, is it??? ;)

No, you cannot have songs in English *sigh* Not unless English is one of your country`s official languages (or unoffical, but spoken by big minorities).

I am not going to delete Mambo from the Contest.

what she said.

To send a song in English for Spain would be really pity. Because there are many languages spoken there. Spain can't participate in with English songs anyway. The rule is clear. ;)

I suggest;

David Bisbal > Ave Maria

This is not correct Osman. Spain has a language: Spanish. You can't use Catalan, Basque or Galician for Eurovision. They are cooficial languages, you can't (almost you shouldn't) use them out of your region.

If you represent Spain you must use Spanish. If Catalonia, Basque Country or Galicia were countries, they could use their languages. But we are Spanish = We use Spanish language.
You aren't going to see Catalan, Basque or Galician songs in Eurovision participating for Spain. ;)

Should i remind of you that our contest is not Eurovision? and its clone neither. :)

Good work Fatimah! Thanks ;)

Everybody can post their favourites' name. If not, contact to your moderator about that. Hopefully he will help. Because i am not good at this poll thing too! :D

I've been thinking that since the begining. I don't think Mambo will survive this stage. And if for some weird reason it does... nah! It won't :D

Ivan, you can't do a poll now. That's the problem with polls. You'd have to start a new thread. Please don't do that. Just keep track of the votes you get.
