On safari: On Safari
In Swahili, safari means "journey". In English the word has been narrowed to refer to an expedition in search of wild game.

Interesting fact: The word "safari" is derived from the arabic/persian: safar سَفَر

word "safari" was borrowed fom arabic by Both persian and swahili .
English borrowed the same word from swahili.
