A quick question on how to say something in Swedish.... - I bought a book and would like to know how to say who wrote it. Till exempel:

Igår köpte jag boken Ett hundra år av ensamhet by Gabriel García Márquez.

I want to say that \"Yesterday I bought the book A Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. How would I say that?

also, does ensamhet = solitude
My English-Swedish dictionary wasn\'t too clear.

Another expample:

My favorite book is Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte.

- Jag tycker att det går bra att säga:
Igår köpte jag boken Ett hundra år (av) ensamhet av Gabriel García Márquez.

I found it in my dictionary - solitude = ensamhet

My favourite book is...

Hundra år av ensamhet is the Swedish title of that book, but your translation was perfect anyway, you can say etthundra instead of hundra.

Morrighan: you can\'t say Etthundra år ensamhet, it\'s either Etthundra år av ensamhet or Etthundra års ensamhet.

Min favoritbok är Jane Eyre av Charlotte Brontë.

You can say älsklingsbok instead of favoritbok, but that is less common and for some reason it\'s mostly young children who use that word.

- i would prefer the word loneliness instead of solitude in this case since i think more of solitude as a \"physical isolation\" (even though that necessarily isn\'t the case) and the title of this book probobly speaks more about emotional/social loneliness.
