Vill att -
I've come across "vill att" (which I'd assume means "want to") being used in a similar way in several sentences (e.g. "De vill att jag ser galen ut" "Chirac vill att europeisk sökmotor startas" and "Alla vill att jag ska spela som anfallare") but I can't figure out how "vill att" behaves/what the sentence even translates to in any of the given examples - could anyone explain?

- 'att' means 'that' as well as 'to'.

Jag försöker [att se galen ut]
I try [to look crazy]

De vill [att jag ser galen ut]
They want [that I look crazy] ( --> "They want me to look crazy"; this type of construction is typically English and doesn't exist in Swedish)

Thanks, does the "ut" have to be there for the sentence to work/sound right, though (as in "ser...ut")?

- 'att se ut' is a verb as a whole, it means 'to look', as in, the way you look, your appearance (whereas 'att titta' means 'to look' as in; to look at something or to watch something); 'att se' means 'to see'.
So, "Jag försöker att se galen" would sort of mean "I try to see crazy". So yes, the 'ut' is needed for the meaning.
