Ahem, allright: Daily Conversations = Günlük Konuşmalar Günaydın = Good morning Merhaba = Hello Selam = Hi ( informal ) İyi akşamlar = Good evening İyi geceler = Good night Güle güle = Goodbye Evet = Yes Hayır = No Belki = Maybe Affedersiniz = Excuse me Pardon = Pardon Üzgünüm = I'm sorry Teşekkür ederim = Thank you Birşey değil = You're welcome Teşekkürler = Thanks Çok teşekkür ederim = Thank you very much Hoşgeldiniz = Welcome Ben = I Sen = You O = He/She/It Biz = We Siz = You (pl) Onlar = They Ben "........"im. = I am "............". Benim adım "........."dir. = My name is ".........." . Tanışdığımıza memnun oldum = Glad to meet you Nasılsınız ? = How are you? (formal) Nasılsın? = How are you? (informal) İyiyim, teşekkür ederim. = Fine, thank you. Ya sen? = And you? ( informal ) Ya siz? = And you? ( formal ) Ben de iyiyim. = I'm fine too. Daha yavaş konuşun lütfen. = Speak more slowly, please. Biliyorum = I know Bilmiyorum = I don't know Şerefe! = Cheers! Tebrik ederim = Congragulations Doğum günün kutlu olsun! = Happy Birthday to you! İyi şanslar = Good Luck ( or " Bol şans "; this one really looks like the French one," bonne chance ", doesn't it?) ... (years old.) bir = 1 onbeş = 15 yirmi = 20 yüz = 100 Yüz yaşındayım = I'm 100 years old. Görüşürüz = See you Sonra görüşürüz = See you later Yarın görüşürüz = See you tomorrow Sağol = Thanks ( informal ) Sağolun = Thanks ( formal ) Elveda = Farewell Seni seviyorum = I love you Senden nefret ediyorum = I hate you Acıktım ( or "ben açım" or "karnım aç" ) = I'm hungry Susadım = I'm thirsty Hastayım = I'm sick Ölüyorum = I'm dying Anladım = I see/understood Anlamadım = I didn't get it Uykum var = I'm sleepy Yağmur yağıyor = It's raining Kar yağıyor = It's snowing Rüzgar esiyor = Wind is blowing ( or It's windy you may say ) Yağmuru severim = I love rain Yağmurdan nefret ederim = I hate rain Bugün hava çok güzel! = The weather is pretty good today! | - hafakan, there's one that I found too. Take a look at http://www.onlineturkish.com/vocab.asp Not sure you guys already know about that or not, though. It's a pretty neat site there, you could even see some dialogs and get to listen to some phrases. I think those are samples from the book they sell. | |

(And if someone does something, like a hand gesture, and you ask \' what do you mean by that, you say: Bununla ne demek istiyorsun? or Bununla neyi kastediyorsun?) - Can you express that in a different way? Bunu farklı bir yolla anlatabilir misiniz? ( or açıklayabilir misiniz? ) - Shall i call an ambulance? -Ambulans çağırayım mı? -Do you want me to call an ambulance? -Ambulans çağırmamı ister misiniz? - where are the restrooms please? Tuvalet(or lavabo, which is more polite) nerede acaba? - Please don\'t go, stay with me Lütfen gitme, benimle kal P.S. = all the \'iz\' and \'ız\' and \'uz\' at the end of verbs are used to make the sentence polite, they\'re mostly used when referring to people older than you or people that you do not know.
