turk-influenced words - i think that this is real cool, and it corroborates my personal belief that turkic language possibly had some influence over the language of my ancestors (i\'m partially nordic--but nordic language isn\'t really discussed here)

and here\'s a site, not linguistic as much as religious, about the ancient religion of the turks
http://www.hunmagyar.org/turan/tatar/turk.html

link regarding turkic language\'s connection with ancient sumerian.
www.turkicworld.org --direct links don\'t work, just click on the language, sumer, then the first link \"origins of turk and tatars\"

James Harper in his book \"Rome vs Istanbul\" claims that Turks are returning trojans following is based on his claims..But wording is mine..

Turks as you know came from central asia to anatolia and eastern europe in 10th centuary.. This is a known fact.. But were they always in central Asia.. There\'s another theory for Turks which is connected to Troy. Troy as you know is a ancient place now in Turkey. Story begins in troy 1600 BC or something i donno.. After the fall of Troy. General Turcus of Troy fled to central asia with his soldiers and followers. Their children lived there for more than thousand year and came back to Anatolia to settle back and for taking revenge from greeks.. During middle ages christian world called Turks as sons of Trojans.. General name of turkish nation is \"Turan\" which means \"Trojan\" they say.. Also the name Turk comes from the Trojan general Turcus(.. There\'s another story supporting this..Sultan Fatih(who conquered Constantinapolis (Today\'s İstanbul in 1453) after conquering istanbul went to visit Çanakkale(Gallipoli). Troy is in the borders of this city now.. He visited the graves of the Hector and other trojan fighters.. He said it\'s me God has gifted with the honour of taking revenge from greeks of this city and these fighters. This is recorded by historian \"Kritopulos\".. After the fall of Constantin (Now Istanbul). Some europeans were happy with the fact that \"Trojans\" took revenge from naughty \"Greeks\" he also reports.. Also cardinall \"Isidore\" was calling Fatih as \"Prince of Trojans\" in his letters. And it\'s said that first Turks arriving at anatolia in 10th century were very much like today\'s Turks not having slant eyes.. Today we don\'t have central asian looking slant eyed people in Turkey.. This i always was wondering.. If we were only central asian not original Anatolian where are those slant eyed people.. At least half of the society should have slant eyes..I donno anyone..We all look like 10000 years old anatolian.

This story maybe or maynot be True.. One fact is Trojans were known with their brave souls.. even If not fled to asia and came back as Turks.. Troy is in Turkey anyway and they\'r still among us.. So before central asia maybe we were always here in beautiful Anatolia and took it back with Troy who knows..

- hey, thanks for that perspective, its interesting. one consideration, is that regardless of your ancestor\'s origins, you are currently a genetic mix of anatolian breed, which might account for your general anatolian appearance. maybe mixing with arabs closely for centuries basically eliminated the central asian look. but i disagree that you would lack these characteristics, completely. i\'m looking at serdar ortacin resimi, right now, and it looks asian to me. his eyes remind me of this guy whom i met, who said he was half mongolian, half western-european.
if you notice, one of the sites suggests that there was a history of turkish settlements with the earliest civilizations in the indus valley, around 3000-2000 b.c. like apparently turkic names in mesopotamia. all of this turkology makes me wonder, then--where did all the white people come from?
