How to say Masha Allah in English - How to say Masha Allah in English?
WordmasterSaturday 17th of June 2006 08:32:09 AM
- Masha Allah is used by Urdu speakers, but essentially its an Arabic phrase, along with Insha Allah, Subhahn Allah, Jazaak Allah and Naoozubi Allah. Us urdu speakers along with other non-arab muslims, know the sitiuations in which the phrases are used, but we do not always know their actual meanings.

So I believe this is a question for the Arabic forum. :)

- Hey Mariangel! :)

Its a good thing you know those phrases because they are very commonly used by Urdu speakers. However, do remember that those phrases are not originally Urdu, they are Arabic, and are used due to their religious significance to muslims.

It appears you are going to be in a relationship with an Urdu speaking family soon. These words will help you: :)

Bhai - Brother
Behun - Sister
Bayti - Daughter
Beyta - Son
Ghur - House
Kumra - Room
Chaabi - Key
Bistur - Bed

Kaisay - How
Kyu - Why
Kaha - Where
Kub - When

Isse Urdu mein kya kehte hain? - What do you call this in Urdu?

X ko Urdu mein kya kehte hain? - What do we call \"X\" in Urdu.

In ka naam kya hai? - What is this persons name?
Aap ka naam kya hai? - What is your name?
