How would you pronounce \"Nguyen\" and \"Tran\"? - Hello all,
how would you pronounce the names Nguyen and Tran please? There are quite a lot of Nguyens in the Czech Republic and I don\'t want to mess up their surname... Nguyen and Tran are surnames, aren\'t they?

- I have heard a couple different ways with each. The best thing is to ask how they pronounce it. I have no idea how to spell the pronunciations of how I have heard it pronounced. Nguyen is probably pronounced close to nyen if it is like most here pronounce it and Tran would be like Trahn.
