please Help me learn vietnamese!! - hi i want to learn vietnamese so i can speak it to my aussie boyfriend who speaks it...

- i just want to learn phrases, key words etc. and preferably a help with the pronunciation- but just to know some basics, whether written or spoken (preferably spoken).
stuff like please, thankyou, how are you are good places to start :)

In Vnese language we address people differently than English
if a person is older than you and is a male , you call him \"anh\" if a female > \" chi.\"
you can address younger person by theirs name such as Hoa or Thanh ..ect.. or \"em\"
em also mean \"sis\" in English
so How are you would be :
Anh kho?e kho^ng? or
Chi. kho?e kho^ng?
Em kho?e kho^ng ?
Hoa kho? e kho^ng ?
Thanh kho?e kho^ng?
to the Older person up to 40 yrs old or more we address them
as : CHu\' or Ba\'c ( male) Co^ or di` ( female)

In Vnese language there are many accent marks i dont know if we could type in Vnese fonts here ( i dont think so)
but for now I try to put the accent marks on as we go along iam not a teacher i just would like to help other who would like to learn my native language :-)
