HELP TEST NEW PHRASEBASE

This is the beta version of the new phrasebase. Once we get all the bugs worked out, we will be updating the real www.phrasebase.com domain with this new version.
If you experience bugs or usability issues in Dogrub, please email them directly to me, my username on dogrub is "jeff".

The dogrub test site is 100% seperated from phrasebase.com, so you need to sign up a totally new username account, etc.... ALL of the stuff you do on the dogrub site will NOT be transfered over to phrasebase, it will simply be deleted once it's tested out. Furthermore, all of your existing Phrasebase.com stuff will remain intact and will be 100% seperate from the Dogrub.com site.

What's the purpose of this? Is it just changing the presentation? Is it going to make phrasebase faster? I my opinion, it would be a great idea to make it faster... Indeed, MINUTES... are needed to access to a page ( when it works...)

A few things have changed. Due to a change of server some items (e.g. the classroom) don't work anymore. Those death items have been removed at dogrub. Other parts, like the memorize feature, have been improved, (including statistics to keep track of your progress) and are easier to find thanks to the new menu.
Furthermore changes have been made for the system of paying vs non-paying members.
I don't know about the speed. The speed of a site depends on a few things, like good coding, but also on the speed of the server. Lately I have noticed the speed of phrasebase has been slow and the amount of errors seem high. It is most likely due to the use of more data on the same server. Once the testing of the new version of phrasebase is complete, and phrasebase is completely converted to the site, we won't have the double sites anymore, hopefully the speeds get better then.
Anyways, if you like to make phrasebase better, you can sign up at dogrub and send your comments to mery or jeff.
They might have a few more to add or comment about dogrub.
