Xhosa phrases
isiZulu and isiXhosa are mutually intelligible, so those of you familiar with Zulu will recognise many structures.

Molo - hello (to one person)
Molweni - hello (to more than one person)
Uphila njani? - how are you?
Ndiphilile / Siphilile - I am well / we are well

I only speak a little Xhosa - Ndithetha isiXhosa kancinci nje

Thank you - enkosi
Sorry - uxolo
Please - nceda
I don't understand - andiqondi
I don't know - andazi
I come from Cape Town - Ndivela eKapa
...from Johannesburg - eGoli/eRhawuti
...from Port Elizabeth - eBhayi
Do you speak English? - uyakwazi ukuthetha isiNgesi?
Yes - Ewe (pronounced eh-weh)
No - Hayi

No worries. If you want any more just ask - I've got a few books on Xhosa.
